| NYSE Arca VP Gets a Nighttime Demo |
August 9th 2007 |
On Thursday, August 9th the Long Island Animal Defense League invited community members out to a vegan potluck at Eisenhower Park. While enjoying some homemade delicacies and socializing, the focus was thrust upon an individual who denies even the most basic care and compassion towards non-humyn animals: Richard M. Dapcic the VP of NYSE ARCA. For those who couldn’t attend the demo, feel free to contact him at rdapcic@nyse.com, while his office number is (212) 656-2131. This individual has allowed Huntingdon Life Sciences the ability to trade their stock over the Internet. He perpetuates the atrocities at HLS, while reaping the profits of torture.
Double-digit demoers converged on the sidewalk in front of his house in the evening. His front light was on, illuminating a couple of obnoxiously large SUVs paid for with blood money. Chants immediately rained down of, “Puppy killer” and “Murderer” demanding he leave town. It was at this point that an irate neighbor confronted a demonstrator who was naming and shaming Mr. Dapcic. Another ADLer tried to provide conflict resolution, but was shoved to the street. The minor scrape he suffered should have served to deter the neighbor from resorting to physical force, but he went mental and brought out his 4-year old daughter. She was hysterical as her father displayed a complete lack of concern forcing his daughter into a chaotic situation of which his greedy neighbor was being targeted with. Another neighbor apologized for this neighbor’s stupidity and felt horrible knowing what Richard is responsible for. Chants persisted explaining that NYSE ARCA’s ties to HLS (ticker: LSR) have lead to countless instances of children suffering, something way more traumatizing than a 20 minute session of loud chanting. Promises of returning until Richard makes the right decision lead the neighbors to realize they must hold this pervert accountable! As the demonstration ended a large dog ran in our direction, seemingly wishing us the best of luck as we continue this hard fought campaign.
